Description

The Pennsylvania Dutch Cook Book is a box set of six booklets, each with eleven pages of recipes. The booklets include "Cakes, Filling, and Frostings," "Candies," "Cookies," "Pies and Pastries," "Sweets and Sours," and "Vegetables and Salads."

The cook book was published by Luden's, the candy and cough drop company founded by William H. Luden in Reading, PA in 1879.

The cover of the box reads "Out of Life you get, what into you put!", "Pennsylvania Dutch Cook Book from Luden's famous for quality products since 1881." The book and each booklet's cover have illustrations resembling Pennsylvania Dutch Fraktur folk art.
