Description
Shoo-fly pie is a molasses crumb cake baked in a pie crust, originating from the Pennsylvania Dutch. Shoo-fly pies are either made with a wet bottom with a gooey layer of molasses at the bottom or dry bottom with a more even, cake-like consistency throughout. This recipe creates a wet-bottom pie, and was written on a piece of paper, then folded into eight quadrants.
