Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>?Provide general reference service during evening hours.<\/li>\n<li>?Assist users at Vermont Technical College and the?<span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">Community College of Vermont in finding information?<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">through use of the Library Catalog, databases, and other?<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">resources.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>?Provide information literacy instruction to classes and?<span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">groups as scheduled.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>?Assist with the virtual reference chat service.<\/li>\n<li>?Create instructional guides through use of LibGuides.<\/li>\n<li>?Assist with special projects as needed, such as working?<span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">with the college archives.?<\/span><\/li>\n<li>?Some travel required to provide instruction to Vermont?<span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">Technical College nursing students.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualifications: Master&#8217;s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program, plus one to three years of relevant experience, including some academic reference and instruction experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>?Broad base of knowledge and skills related to college?<span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">library technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>?Good planning, organizational &amp; administrative skills.<\/li>\n<li>?Ability to deal effectively with library patrons and staff,?<span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">including good interviewing, teaching, advising, and?<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">public speaking skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>?VT valid driver&#8217;s license is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Starting Date: ASAP &#8211; December 31, 2014<\/p>\n<p>Application Deadline: Applications will be accepted until position is filled.<\/p>\n<p>To Apply: Send a completed VTC employment application, resume and cover letter to: <a href=\"mailto:jobs@vtc.edu\">jobs@vtc.edu<\/a>.
