The<i>Library Clerk?<\/i>reports to the Associate Library Director.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span>?<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span>?<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>I. Responsibilities and Duties<\/b>.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Circulation, shelving, and retrieval of library materials.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Fills requests for items on reserve and at storage.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Responsible for library opening and closing procedures.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Provides research and reference assistance to students, faculty, and the public.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Provides instruction in the use of library materials, including indexes, reference materials and electronic resources.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Assists with maintenance of periodical collection.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Assists with the physical processing and maintenance of books.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Other projects as assigned.<b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span>?<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>II. Qualifications<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>B.A. or previous library experience required. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.? Experience with the literature of architecture or art history is desirable. Coursework towards M.L.S. degree is highly desirable.<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span>?<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>IV.
