Eligibility is limited to qualified students currently enrolled in Simmons GSLIS Program.<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Summary<\/b>: This position will work under the direction of the Systems &amp; Web Applications Librarian to support Library technology needs. Responsibilities include: supporting Library systems and software; assisting in website maintenance and improvements; providing basic hardware support for staff computers and printers; performing usability testing and other assessment measures; managing data entry and preparing reports in theIntegrated Library System (ILS); coordinating the hiring, scheduling, training, and supervision of student workers; engaging in Library-wide planning and projects.<\/p>\n<p>?<\/p>\n<p><b>Key work activities: <\/b><\/p>\n<p>?Offer support to Library systems and software programs<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>?Assist in troubleshooting, maintenance, enhancements, and system upgrades<\/li>\n<li>?Provide appropriate access and permissions for users<\/li>\n<li>?Assist in the implementation of recommended workflows and efficiencies<\/li>\n<li>?Provide training to Library staff and patrons on technology systems and tools<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>?Participate in the maintenance and development of Library websites<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Assist in maintaining and updating the Library websites<\/li>\n<li>?Provide assistance with setting up new Library web applications<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>?Provide support in testing and upgrading the Library&#8217;s virtual interfaces<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>?Maintain appropriate documentation for Library web applications<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>?Provide basic hardware support to staff computers and printers<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues<\/li>\n<li>?Request support and resolution for technology issues from Simmons Technology<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with Library staff on the status of repairs and upgrades<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>?Participate in the delivery of Library Services<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Employ technology and systems to optimize Library processes and operations<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate on technology needs for Library Administrative, Information, &amp; Discovery Services<\/li>\n<li>?Assist in implementing tools and mechanisms which support and enhance project management<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the development of processes related to Library operations and planning<\/li>\n<li>?Staff Reference Desk for one three-hour shift per week<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>?<\/p>\n<p><b>Work Schedule:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>?Determined by manager with flexibility for classes.
