The DePaul University Library (http:\/\/library.depaul.edu<\/a>) seeks a <\/span>collaborative, innovative and service oriented professional for the <\/span>position of Electronic Resources Librarian.<\/span>

Position Description<\/span>
<\/span>
Reporting to the Coordinator of Collections and Scholarly Resources, <\/span>the Electronic Resources Librarian will coordinate the implementation, <\/span>processing and ongoing maintenance of the electronic resource <\/span>collection through the life cycle of each resource.<\/span>
<\/span>
The Electronic Resources Librarian will lead explorations into new <\/span>electronic content and services and lead initiatives to improve the <\/span>efficiency and effectiveness of existing electronic resources. The <\/span>Electronic Resources Librarian will work to ensure that electronic <\/span>resources are as widely accessible as possible, promote the use of <\/span>these resources, and coordinate the Library’s response to access <\/span>issues that involve electronic resources. The Electronic Resources <\/span>Librarian may serve as a liaison librarian in assigned areas.<\/span>

About the DePaul University Library<\/span>
<\/span>
The DePaul University Library is comprised of the John T. Richardson<\/span>
Library (Lincoln Park Campus), the Loop Campus Library (Loop Campus),<\/span>
and library service programs provided at DePaul’s three suburban <\/span>campuses. With an annual budget of over $10 million in FY13, 33 <\/span>professional librarians, and a total staff complement of over 70 FTE, <\/span>the DePaul University Library is a partner in a number of campus <\/span>programs, including the first-year experience (Chicago Quarter) and <\/span>the Teaching Commons. In 2013, a major renovation of the Richardson <\/span>Library will facilitate the launch of the Richardson Library<\/span>
Information Commons, a technology-enhanced space including individual,<\/span>
group, and collaborative work spaces, a Learning Commons and Scholar’s<\/span>
Lab. The DePaul University Library is housed in the Division of <\/span>Teaching and Learning Resources, which includes the DePaul Art Museum <\/span>and Faculty Information Technology Services, and is an active member <\/span>of local, regional, and national consortia, including CARLI, the <\/span>Chicago Collections Consortium, the Catholic Research Resources <\/span>Alliance, and the Center for Research Libraries.<\/span><\/p>\n
