Seeking an individual who has a background in taxonomy, data management and knowledge management<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The main skills we are seeking are:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Thorough knowledge of taxonomy creation, including meta-data, content classification, controlled vocabularies, and open tagging systems;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Strong analytical and problem solving skills;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Strong communication skills;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The combination of SharePoint & Taxonomy would be of particular interest to as SharePoint is our enterprise collaboration platform.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>?<\/span><\/p>\n

Serve as a domain expert and liaison to internal partner groups, champion the implementation of group-wide standards in taxonomy and metadata, influencing relevant decisions within specific business units;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Define and implement standards and processes for taxonomy development, maintenance of centralized schemas, and metadata management;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Define the requirements of business and technical teams for taxonomy, metadata, and classification management;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Drive technical requirements for a taxonomy and classification tool.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

DAY-TO-DAY EXPECTATIONS:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>?<\/span><\/p>\n

These will stem from the responsibilities above and revolve around meeting internal partners to understand their requirements, scoping the development of a taxonomy structure, first steps in implementing the taxonomy structure.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

TECHNICAL SKILLS:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>?<\/span><\/p>\n

6-8 years experience in Taxonomy;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Experience implementing taxonomies in enterprise content management systems and with taxonomy and thesauri management software preferred.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
