The Ventures 45 RPM record includes “Walk - Don’t Run” and “Home”. This record is a Canadian release from 1960. “Walk - Don’t Run” was written and originally recorded by Johnny Smith in 1954. It was the first wide release single for The Ventures and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2006. The B Side, “Home” was written by J. Clarkson, H. Clarkson and Peter Van Steeden.

The Ventures are an instrumental surf rock band formed in 1958 in Tacoma, Washington. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008. Original members were Don Wilson (rhythm guitar), Bob Bogle (lead guitar/bass), Nokie Edwards (bass/lead guitar) and Mel Taylor (drums).
