Incense Burner
This is an image of a bronze incense burner on the west side of the Palace Museum. -
Phoenix, Crane, & Cistern
This is an image of three statues, a phoenix, a crane, and a cistern. These statues are located outside of the Palace of Earthly Honor (Yikun gong), originally built in 1417. -
Deer
This image depicts a bronze deer outside the Palace of Gathering Elegance (Chuxiu gong). In total there are two deer outside the palace. They were produced in 1883 with a height of 1.6m, width of .3m, and on a .22m bronze base. -
Dragon
This image depicts a bronze dragon outside the Palace of Gathering Elegance (Chuxiu gong). In total there are two dragons outside the palace. They were produced in 1883. -
Kneeling Elephant
This image depicts a gilded kneeling elephant in the Imperial Garden (Yu huanyan). -
Tortoise
The image is of a bronze tortoise in the courtyard of the Palace of Heavenly Purity (Qianqing gong). -
Crane
This image represents a bronze crane in the courtyard of the Palace of Heavenly Purity (Qiangqing gong). -
Sundial
The image is of a marble sundial located outside of the Palace of Heavenly Purity (Qianqing gong). -
Cistern
The image is of a massive bronze cistern outside the Meridian Gate (Wǔmén). The cistern was utilized to store water for the city within.
